#SIN SENOS NO HAY PARAISO PAOLA SERIES#
As you know, Carmen Villalobos is set to return to the series as the original Catalina Santana, a character that initiated "Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso" franchise. I don't even actually remember what happened after that, but that's pretty much the most important thing you need to know about this show.A new season of "Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso" is upon us and we have the details of the main cast members. Except, wait, something does, and whoops, Casillas dies on the table. Because that's a foolproof plan, and nothing could ever go wrong.

When the DEA catches on to him, he decides to skirt their authority by going under the knife for facial reconstruction surgery. This show follows Aurelio Casillas (based on real-life drug lord Amado Carillo Fuentes) as he works his way up to becoming Mexico's biggest drug kingpin. Tanya ends up dying (of course) and Johnny ends up staying with his wife Ana Maria, but she decides to leave him after realizing that he's still in love with his dead girlfriend. He pursues a relationship with her but neglects to tell her about his wife and kid back in Mexico. (this was back when NAFTA was newly signed), as he falls in love with Tanya, a young woman he meets in the U.S.
#SIN SENOS NO HAY PARAISO PAOLA DRIVER#
This show tells the story of Johnny, a truck driver who travels back and forth between Mexico and the U.S. Roxana gets her comeuppance by having acid thrown on her face and is then arrested and sent to an insane asylum.Īh, love. Enter Roxana - the completely unhinged wife of Jimena's father, Don Roberto de la O - who essentially tries to kill everyone else on the show (starting with her own father), including the four girls. But if you think this is your typical teenage, coming-of-age drama, you are wrong. Amigas y Rivales focuses on teens Jimena (she'd be a Rich Kid of Instagram), Ofelia (Jimena's best friend), Laura (a middle-class student who ends up getting a scholarship to college), and Nayeli (who works as a housekeeper in Jimena's house and dreams of being an actress). One big difference between telenovelas and American soaps is that telenovelas are aimed at different age groups, so no one is left out of the fun. I could keep going, but I think you get the idea. Rosalinda's put into a mental hospital at the same time, and then loses her memory in a fire when the hospital burns down. Fernando leaves a now-pregnant Rosalinda, who goes into premature labor and has her baby kidnapped by her stepmother. Where to begin? Everything about this show is unbelievable (and I really mean that), starting with the fact that the title character, played by Thalia, marries wealthy piano player Fernando José, only to see her life fall apart when her stepmother tells Fernando that Rosalinda's mother killed his father when Fernando was a boy. Paulina agrees, and while she's living with Paola's husband, falls in love with him. When they reunite years later, Paola blackmails Paulina into switching identities with her so that Paola can leave her husband and take a year-long vacation with her boyfriend. Twins Paulina and Paola are separated at birth. This one is based on a book that was actually supposed to highlight the dangers that real-life child prostitutes in Colombia face every day, so it's a serious enough subject, but leave it to Telemundo to turn it into a drama-filled novela. It focuses on Catalina, a small-town girl from Colombia who undergoes a breast augmentation so that she can smuggle drugs in her implants in the hopes of making a better life for herself. This is a show that's literally called, "Without Boobs There Is No Paradise," so you know the plot's got to be good.

But there's a twist: When Lorenzo breaks up with Aurora, she becomes distraught and falls into a coma ( ❼omó?), so her father Gustavo, who has a cryogenic lab, takes her to it and freezes her to save her life. Twenty-year-old Aurora, an aspiring dancer from New York, falls for her dance instructor Lorenzo, only to have her backstabbing friend Vanessa try to sabotage the relationship by tricking Lorenzo into believing Aurora cheated on him. So much so, in fact, that he actually took some of his DNA and had Diego cloned in an attempt to generate a new and improved living version of Digeo. But wait, there's more: A family friend who happens to be a scientist misses Diego. Lovelorn novio Lucas - who's separated from his true love, Jade - assumes his dead identical twin brother Diego's identity to marry his brother's fiancée and inherit the family business. OK, this one is a little bit sad (but still weird!): In this 2007 novela, main character Lola talks to a specific tree in her backyard every day because it was supposed to embody the spirit of her mother, who had passed away. And not only that, but it would have to match her nails and outfit. Here's something I've literally never been able to figure out: Why the aunt on Carita de Angel (a show about a little girl growing up in a boarding school) wore a different-colored wig every time she was on screen.
